a multimedia artist, and a creative technologist.

Currently working at Cai Studio, cAI™ Lab. In collaboration with artist Cai Guo-Qiang, I am working on projects ranging from AI-driven interactive art installations, large-scale fireworks and gunpowder paintings to luxury brand collaborations. My role involves integrating cutting-edge visual and interactive technologies across all stages of development.

Cai Guo-Qiang and cAI™ illuminated the Centre Pompidou’s farewell with The Last Carnival
On October 22, as shifting light and clouds passed over Paris, The Last Carnival transformed the façade of Centre Pompidou into a monumental three-dimensional painting of daytime fireworks, witnessed by nearly 4,000 spectators. Conceived by Cai Guo-Qiang and his custom-built AI model cAI™, the project was developed over three years as a poetic tribute to the museum’s nearly fifty years of fearless experimentation. As the manager of cAI™, I’m truly happy to see this long-term collaboration come to life in the public realm. Cheers!

cAI™ Lab 2.0 Exhibition opens at Macau MGM – Is It Your Gaze That Meets Mine, or Mine That Seeks Yours?
On the evening of July 19, Cai Guo-Qiang, together with his custom-developed AI model cAI™, unveiled a new exhibition titled cAI™ Lab 2.0—Is It Your Gaze that Meets Mine, or Mine that Seeks Yours? in Fantasy Box, a multifunctional black box space at MGM Macau. Presented as a special program of Art Macau: Macau International Art Biennale 2025, the exhibition is organized by MGM.

Interspecies Love Letter: Sky Painting for EARTH to SPACE

On March 29th at 9pm, a gentle spring breeze brushed along the banks of the Potomac River in Washington, D.C. Over ten thousand spectators gathered from around the world at the terrace and riverfront plaza of the Kennedy Center to witness Interspecies Love Letter: Sky Painting for EARTH to SPACE—a large-scale outdoor multimedia interactive performance.

Commissioned by the Kennedy Center to kick off the EARTH to SPACE: Arts Breaking the Sky festival, the artwork was co-created by Cai Guo-Qiang and his custom AI model, cAI™

Previously, I worked at...

Working simultaneously at the intersection of mixed reality storytelling in the public domain, my interactive work focused on computational expression and interactive narrative performance. I specialize in AR/VR product prototyping, experience design, computational design, and interactive media art, using physical and virtual media to tell stories.

Gradient Experience, I use AR filters, projection and multiscreens to build immersive experience. Skilled in conceptualizing, designing, and prototyping innovative products that blend aesthetic appeal with functional technology. I have designed digital experiences and multimedia exhibitions for brands such as Armani, Cartier, Shiseido, and House of Suntory.

Holographic Studios, I have developed an intergrated moving image hologram system, innovating the transfer of digital moving images into holographic formats.

RoboticPlus, using robotic printing and cutting to design parametric architectural elements and installations including the world's largest carbon fiber roofs.

Hongkong University Virtual Reality Lab of Urban Environments and Human Health on Virtual Reality and Brain-Computer Interface.

Harvard Graduate School of Design, established the 3D scanning, motion capture, and animation workflow, and adviced student on furniture making.

MIT Design Heritage Lab, using Augmented Reality and Brain-Computer Interface to optimize a better AR board game.

I am the recipient of several awards, including International Sound Awards (Sound Art), SXSW Innovation Awards (Finalists), Outer Space Competition (First Prize), FairyTales Competition (Honorable Mention),Core77 Design Award (Runner-up), Future of Mobility Competition (First Prize), FourC Design Challenge (Runner-up), Zootopia, Co-creating a Shared Home for Man and Nature(Nature Contribution Award), Harvard Venture in Metaverse Hackathon,etc. I am the recipient of Harvard Innovation Lab venture program focusing on mixed reality application. My design work has been archived by Red Dot Design Museum - China.

My audiovisual work “Maelstrom” won the Sound Art prize from the International Sound Awards, and has been selected to the finalists of SXSW Innovation Awards. Presented in GameSoundCon 2024, ACM SIGGRAPH Sparks, ACM CHI 2024, Ennova Art Biennale in Hebei, Asia Digital Art Exhibition in Hangzhou, Centro Juvenil Pipo Velasco in Madrid, Evolutionary Space Exhibition in Los Angeles, and Shanghai Spatial Art Season 2023.

Recently, my works had been exhibited in Boston, Cambridge, New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Hawaii, Madrid, Athens, Bergamo, Linz, Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chengdu and Shenzhen.
