Digital Futures 2020 was a groundbreaking computational architecture conference and workshop series hosted by Tongji University in Shanghai and simultaneously accessible worldwide online. The event featured 70 diverse workshops, showcasing outcomes ranging from sculptures and photographs to interactive works and more.

To extend the reach and impact of these creative outcomes, we are developing a web-based VR experience. This platform will recreate the Tongji University Architectural Building in meticulous detail, offering a 1:1 virtual replica as an immersive exhibition space. Visitors can explore the virtual environment freely using a keyboard to navigate through the scene and a mouse to look around.

The experience goes beyond passive observation—visitors can interact directly with the showcased works. This includes examining sculptures from multiple angles, engaging with interactive pieces, and experiencing dynamic visual or auditory elements embedded in the projects.

The virtual exhibition emphasizes accessibility and engagement, offering participants worldwide the ability to explore the cutting-edge results of Digital Futures 2020 from the comfort of their own devices. This initiative not only preserves the event's creative achievements but also sets a benchmark for the future of hybrid digital and physical exhibitions.
